Leiweke departing from Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment
Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment has started looking for a new chief executive officer. Current CEO Tim Leiweke will continue in his role until June 30, 2015 or until a successor is appointed, MLSE said Thursday in a statement. David Price allowed only one hit in his first start against his former team, an RBI triple to Brandon Guyer, and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Detroit Tigers 1-0 Thursday to avoid a three-game sweep. Ben Zobrist reached on a throwing error by shortstop Eugenio Suarez scored on Guyer's hit. Price then retired his final 23 batters, nine on strikeouts, to finish an eight-inning complete game. Nick Foles threw for 179 yards and a touchdown to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 31-21 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night.
