For the Saints, this is the season. At 5-6, they still have an outside chance for 10 wins but the schedule is tough. Drew Brees is coming off a two-interception game that cost his team 14 points. One was his fault, the other was not. Have to go with the logic here and say it will be a field goal game. Eight of the Falcons' 11 wins have been by seven points or less. They are masters at making the key critical play. Saints keep it close.

The last two games the Jaguars played have been pretty good. First, there was a six-point loss in Houston and next was a five-point win against the Titans. If Jacksonville can control C.J. Spiller, it could be an easy win for the Jags. That is a big "if," though. Spiller has six consecutive games of 100-plus yards from the line of scrimmage. Jacksonville.

The Seahawks are not the best road team. Of their five losses this season, all have been on the road and they've won every game at home. That's enough for me to say that the Bears cover. Bears.

It is hard to have faith in the Chiefs when they have only one win all season and that was in Week 3 in overtime in New Orleans. Yes, the Panthers are coming off a Monday night win then travel to Kansas City, and seven of the Chiefs' losses have been close. Still, I think Carolina covers.

Last time these two teams played it was a 24-24 tie. I don't like ties. That was the last game Alex Smith started but he did not finish the game. It is now Colin Kaepernick to lead the 49ers. The players know they are a legitimate Super Bowl team as long as the new QB continues to improve. 49ers.

The total points scored by the Patriots in the last four games: 49, 59, 37 and 45. The total points scored by the Dolphins in the last four games: 24, 14, 3 and 20. Nine is a lot of points but I think the Patriots can cover, even though it is a divisional game. Pats cover 9.

I am going with the theory that when an NFL team gets humiliated one week, they respond the next week with a much better game. The Jets lost by 30 points to the Patriots on national TV on Thanksgiving Thursday, while the Cardinals have lost seven in a row. Jets cover.

The bottom line here is that the Broncos will win but it won't be easy. The Broncos have won six in a row while the Bucs have won four of their last five games and made Matt Ryan produce a one-point win. Eventually, Manning will wear out the Bucs but it will take all four quarters. Bucs fight to the end, and cover.

I am sure if there is any way Ben Roethlisberger can play he will, but it may not be enough. And if he does, how effective will he be? The only two teams the Ravens have lost to are the Eagles in Week 2, by one, and Houston in Houston. They are both very good at being consistent and making critical plays. Baltimore.

This week sets up an interesting set of Sunday/Monday night games. On Sunday, it's the Eagles (3-8) at Dallas followed by Monday's Giants (7-4) at Redskins (5-6). Cowboys stay in the race in the NFC East with a win but the Eagles keep it interesting. Eagles.

The bye week three weeks ago seems to have helped everything as it relates to the Redskins offence. Their last two games they have scored 38 and 31 points and the Redskins are coming off the Thursday Thanksgiving game so there has been plenty of time to get healthy. The Giants are coming off their best game of the year as they beat Green Bay 38-10. But I am going to take the elusiveness of Griffin over the two Super Bowls of Eli Manning.
