Too many points for me! The most important statistic in defensive football is points allowed. The Bears have allowed the fewest points with 71 but have played one game less than Seattle, who is second with 93. Not surprisingly, the third-best defense in points allowed is San Francisco with 94. So I have to go with a bit of logic here and conclude that points will be tough on Thursday night, which begins Week 7. Yes, the 49ers were humbled by the Giants, 26-3, and Russell Wilson is not Eli Manning but points should be tough so I will take the 7.5 and say 49ers win but Seattle keeps it close. Seattle!

Both teams are coming off surprising wins; the Titans 26-23 over Pittsburgh and the Bills 19-16 over Arizona. But the point differential for the Titans between points scored (114) and points allowed (204) is the worst in the NFL. Holding Arizona to 16 is a great improvement after allowing 45 to the Niners and 52 to the Patriots. Bills cover the 3.

The Giants should win this game, but the running ability of Robert Griffin could keep this one close. Right now, he is second on the Redskins in rushing with 379 yards to compliment his 70 per cent completion mark. I think the Giants win, but the Redskins keep it close. I'm going with Washington.

While the Saints score a lot of points, they allow of them too. The Saints have yet to hold anyone to under 20 and have scored over 20 in every game this year. This may be a last possession game and coming off the bye week, I like the Saints chances of winning. The Saints will cover.

It was a very tough 31-29 loss for Dallas at Baltimore last week; the only positive being that the Cowboys ran for 227 yards. But they will be without running back DeMarco Murray this week due to a foot injury. Carolina is coming of the bye week, losing three of their last four. I think it will be five! Dallas covers 2.5.

The Ravens go into the game without their top middle linebacker and top cornerback and are coming off a game where they allowed 227 rushing yard. Houston was destroyed by a good Packers performance on Sunday night. Which team bounces back here in Week 7? Texans win and cover.

The Rams have been very competitive in every game this year except one; their Week 3, 23-6 loss in Chicago. This is the final game of a three-game road stretch for the Packers who are coming off a dominant 42-24 win in Houston. Despite that fact, I like the Rams to keep it close. I'm taking the Rams.

The Vikings are 3-0 at home and are scoring on average 26 points per-game in Minnesota. Christian Ponder has been very impressive in his second year, while Cardinals quarterback John Skelton is still an unknown. I'll take the Vikings to cover the points.

13 points are just too many for me, especially because the Jets are coming off two good games - a win over Indy and a competitive game against Houston. This is also a divisional game and these two teams know each other very well. The Patriots win, but I'll go with the Jets.

The pattern so far this season for the Steelers is to alternate wins and losses. Now is the time for them to make a move as the NFC North is wide open. With Ben Roethisberger buying time in the pocket and coming off 10 days between games, I see the Steelers getting their first win on the road this season. I'm going with the Steelers.

With the Bears coming off their bye week, they will be as healthy as they have been in 2012. Detroit beat an Eagles team that just fired their defensive coordinator in the 26-23 win. The Lions are a dangerous team with QB Matt Stafford to WR Calvin Johnson, but the Bears are a more complete team. Bears cover 5.
