Canucks score five goals in a row as they defeat Avalanche
Henrik Sedin snapped a third-period tie as the Vancouver Canucks overcame a two-goal deficit Friday to beat the Colorado Avalanche 5-2. Sedin scored his team-leading 13th goal of the season and sixth in six NHL games as he deposited Alex Burrows' centring pass behind prone Avalanche goalie Craig Anderson. Courage Under Fire
Travis Moen and Tomas Plekanec scored in a three-minute span early in the second period and Michael Cammalleri added a goal in the third as the Montreal Canadiens withstood a furious comeback to beat the Washington Capitals 3-2 on Friday night. Full Story.
Picking up the Pieces
One club lost in dramatic fashion to the worst team in the league. The other got blown out of their own building by the same team that eliminated them from last spring's playoffs.
