ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Matt Frattin scored in the dying seconds of regulation to force extra time then scored again in the shootout as the Toronto Marlies rallied to beat the Rochester Americans 4-3 in American Hockey League play Saturday.

Frattin's goal with 10 seconds left tied the game at three, and in the shootout he joined teammate Mike Kostka as the only goal scorers on either team.

The win is Toronto's fifth straight against Rochester this season.

Kostka and Will Acton also scored in regulation for the Marlies (14-9-1), while Ben Scrivens made 22 saves.

Luke Adam, Mark Pysyk and Marcus Foligno replied for the Americans (12-9-3), who got 24 saves from David Leggio.

Kostka opened the scoring for Toronto just 3:17 into the first.

Adam's power-play goal three minutes into the second tied the game, but Acton scored just over six minutes later for a 2-1 Marlies' lead.

Rochester appeared to have stolen a victory from Toronto after Pysyk tied the game at 15:33 in the third and Foligno gave the Americans a 3-2 lead at 17:47, but Frattin's last-second heroics sent the game into extra time.
