New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Champion colt American Pharoah remains first in the NTRA 3-Year-Old Poll heading into Saturday's 141st Kentucky Derby.

Trained by Bob Baffert, American Pharoah, winner of the Arkansas Derby, retained his 22 first-place votes from last week but tallied just 315 points for a 12 point advantage over stablemate Dortmund.

Dortmund, also trained by Baffert and winner of the Santa Anita Derby, received nine top votes and 303 points. Baffert's two 3-year-olds are considered the top two favorites for the Run for the Roses.

"When he runs, he shows a dimension," Baffert said after American Pharoah's Sunday workout. "He surprises me every time that I run him. I'm looking forward and hope everything goes well. But he still needs racing luck. You have to get a decent post, you need to break well and get the trip. A lot can happen, so I really don't take anything for granted."

The remainder of the poll is also unchanged from last week with Blue Grass Stakes winner Carpe Diem (1, 262) third followed by Louisiana Derby winner International Star (1, 175), Florida Derby champ Materiality (171), Wood Memorial winner Frosted (166), Sunland Derby champ Firing Line (125), Upstart (115), Far Right (50) and El Kabeir (42).

Shared Belief, trained by co-owner Jerry Hollendorfer, maintains his first- place position in the NTRA National Poll. The 4-year-old gelding, currently sidelined with an injury, received 21 top votes and 283 points for a 19 point advantage over California Chrome.

California Chrome, 2014 Horse of the Year, has seven first-place votes and 264 points to stay second in the voting.

Main Sequence and Honor Code again exchanged places in the rankings. Main Sequence is third with 182 points and Honor Code is next with 154 points.

The next five spots are unchanged from last week with Constitution (2, 141) followed by American Pharoah (3, 115), Dortmund (102), Lea (93) and Moreno (88). Champion filly Untapable rounds out the top 10 with 66 points.
