Stefan Fournier and Jeremy Gregoire also scored for the IceCaps (9-5-3), who got a 43-save performance from Eddie Pasquale.
Mark Barberio and Mark MacMillan each chipped in with two assists.
Henri Ikonen, Yanni Gourde and Tye McGinn supplied the offence for the Crunch (7-5-2).
Adam Wilcox kicked out 24-of-28 shots in a losing cause.
St. John's went 1 for 3 on the power play while Syracuse scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
