Cliff Pennington is heading west for the 2016 season.

The free agent signed a two-year, $3.75 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. The deal also includes performance incentives.

The 31-year-old infielder split last season between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Toronto Blue Jays. In 105 regular season games between the two teams he hit .210 with three home runs and 21 RBI.

The eight-year veteran began his career with the Oakland Athletics.
