Johnson uses fast pit stop for record 4th Sprint All-Star win
Jimmie Johnson became the first four-time winner of NASCAR's annual All-Star race Saturday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Ed Carpenter knew he was capable of another fast run, and it earned him the pole for the Indianapolis 500. The Indianapolis native bested IndyCar racing's big-name teams by claiming his first 500 pole Saturday during the "Fast Nine" qualifying session at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. J.R. Fitzpatrick claimed the pole position in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 qualifying on Saturday at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for Sunday's Pinty's presents the Vortex Brake Pads 200. Fitzpatrick, out of Ayr, Ont., established a track record with an 83.286-second lap on the 2.459-mile road course for an average speed of 106.289 mph.
