Notes

The History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway is the 11th race on the 2014 Nationwide Series schedule.

There have been 64 Nationwide races at Charlotte. The series has competed at this track twice each year since 1982.

Harry Gant won the inaugural Nationwide race at Charlotte, the Mello Yello 300, on May 29, 1982.

Kyle Busch holds the record for most Nationwide wins at Charlotte with eight. Busch scored a season-sweep there last year.

Roush Fenway Racing has the most car owner wins in Nationwide races at Charlotte with 12, followed by Joe Gibbs Racing with seven.

The Nationwide race winner at Charlotte has started from the pole nine times. Busch most recently did it there last October.

Since NASCAR began using electronic timing and scoring in 1993, the closest margin of victory in a Nationwide race at Charlotte occurred on May 26, 2001 when Jeff Green beat Matt Kenseth to the finish line by just 0.055 seconds.

Mike Bliss is the only driver on the entry list for this weekend's race that scored his first career Nationwide victory at Charlotte. Bliss won the 2004 fall race there when he drove Joe Gibbs Racing. He is now with TriStar Motorsports.

Two drivers entered in this race made their Nationwide debuts at Charlotte: Kenseth (May 1996) and Busch (May 2003).

The next race is the Buckle Up 200 on May 31 at Dover International Speedway. Joey Logano won last year's race there.
