The timetable for the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix has been revised in order to give F1 drivers plenty of driving time at night.
After teams and drivers expressed concerns about Formula One's first night time race, organizers have approved a new schedule which will see all practice sessions take place once the sun goes down.
Originally, the schedule saw drivers staging one practice in daylight and another at night which spawned concerns that there was not enough exposure to the new circuit at night.
"The normal Singapore concern is that it is a new circuit, we don't know much about it," said Jarno Trulli last weekend in Belgium. "The schedule, the times of running, and we are all a little bit concerned about the night race and poor weather that might occur there."
"No experience at all for anyone, and in a new circuit. It is all a bit of a question mark."
First practice on Friday is now scheduled for 7pm local time while a second practice scheduled for 9:30pm. Then on Saturday, the final practice before qualifying will go at 7pm with qualifying to follow at 10pm local.
The race on Sunday is scheduled to go at 8pm local time.
