ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Chase Balisy and Joel Armia scored in the shootout as the St. John's IceCaps edged the visiting Springfield Falcons 4-3 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Jason Jaffray, Blair Riley and Balisy scored in regulation for the IceCaps (32-33-10), who got a 32-save outing from Eric Comrie.

Balisy, who hit the 20-goal mark with a short-handed goal in the second period, has three goals and six points in his last four games.

Marko Dano, Michael Chaput and Luke Adam supplied the scoring for the Falcons (37-28-10).

Springfield's Scott Munroe stopped 22-of-25 shots in a losing cause.

St. John's went 1 for 5 on the power play while the Falcons failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
