A mask from the mind of Ilya BryzgalovBarDown Staff (@BarDown) Apr. 5, 2014 8:28 PM
We have big fans of Ilya Bryzgalov for many years and many reason. One of them being the creative masks he has worn. For his latest version with the Minnesota Wild, he asked his children to help again with the design, however this time artist Stephane Bergeron of Griffe Airbrush in Quebec converted the drawings produced by Bryzgalov's kids into realistic looking characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog. In case you were wondering that's Rouge & Tikal from Sonic Adventure 2. We got these pics via ingoalmag.com, who included a lovely breakdown of the design. "There are several "tear" marks coming through the mask from the "Wild" creature. and the goaltender's nickname, "Bryz," is scrawled stylishly across the chin."
