Today celebrities are often viewed as bandwagoners when they are spotted at sporting events, as they are usually only present when the victory champagne is flowing. But this weekend NBA legend Charles Barkley gave a lesson on how to be loyal fan.

Barkley was spotted at the United Center for the Chicago Blackhawks' Game 7 defeat to the Los Angeles Kings, sporting his Patrick Kane jersey nonetheless. Well, after the Blackhawks OT loss Barkley decided to channel his inner Kane and joined other Chicagoans for a drink after the game.

It was reported in the Chicago Tribune that Barkley not only joined Blackhawks fans after the tough loss, he also bought the entire bar a round of drinks, before shouting "You had a great season -- celebrate that you went as far as you did."

Barkley wasn't the only athlete to attend the game, as he was joined by Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall. The pair were photographed engaging in a friendly football scrimmage just before puck drop.

While Barkley buying the entire bar a round of beers was undoubtedly an incredibly kind gesture, there is one way he could've made it even better. By making sure everyone enjoyed their free drinks in one of these custom Joel Quenneville mouth mugs.
