NEW YORK, N.Y. - Dallas forward Jamie Benn is the NHL's first star for the final week of the regular season, while Winnipeg goaltender Ondrej Pavelec and Ottawa forward Mark Stone were awarded second- and third-star honours respectively.

Benn led all players last week with five goals and 10 points in three games as he captured his first career Art Ross Trophy. The Victoria native had 87 points in 82 games, edging New York Islanders forward John Tavares by one point for the NHL scoring title.

Pavelec stopped all 83 shots he faced while posting a 2-0-1 record to help the Jets earn their second playoff berth in franchise history and bring post-season hockey back to Winnipeg for the first time in 19 years.

Stone had four goals and an assist as the Senators won their last three games and clinched a playoff spot.
