PITTSFORD, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bills say defensive end Mario Williams has passed his physical and was activated in time for the team's opening practice at training camp.

Williams joined his teammates on the field in suburban Rochester on Friday morning.

Williams was on the active/non-football injury list, though the Bills did not disclose the nature of his injury.

Williams has started every game in his three seasons with the Bills. He participated in the team's off-season activities.

Cornerback Leodis McKelvin and kicker Dan Carpenter were also placed on the list Thursday, which is designated for injuries sustained outside of team activities.
