Some thoughts from the NHL on TSN panel on Tuesday night:
I've been covering the National Hockey League playoffs for about 30 years, and I don't remember a first round series that had the emotion of the Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks games.
I think the Canucks' win on Tuesday means everything to them, but they're going to say, and rightfully so, that their job isn't even close to being finished.
What fans of the club must have liked about Game 7, was not just that the Canucks won, but how they won.
Right from the get-go, it was a team effort, with Vancouver not taking a backwards step pretty much all game.
Ryan Kesler was a beast in Game 7 and the Canucks used an aggressive mindset throughout the game. They didn't go out in Game 7 afraid to lose, they came out prepared to win and win they did.
Yes, there were some shaky moments, and they easily could have lost the game, but they didn't.
Vancouver went out and grabbed the win and for the Canucks players, that's the best feeling of all.
