Some quick thoughts from the NHL on TSN panel on Friday night.

A big part of the success in this series, in this game, in these playoffs has been the New Jersey Devils' fourth line with Steve Bernier, Stephen Gionta and Ryan Carter. And they were at it again early in Game 6 versus the New York Rangers.

The Devils consistently were able to get off to good starts in this series, and it was Carter that banged one in tonight. The game before, it was Gionta that got them going, and it was Carter that ended up winning it in game number five. In game number two again, Carter with the goal again – a nice deflection in front of the net.

They contributed significant offence throughout these entire playoffs with eight goals and 16 points going into this game tonight. Every time they were on the ice they were a threat, playing most of their time in the offensive zone.

In the very first playoff game of the year, it was Ryan Carter who got the game winning goal for the New Jersey Devils and he ended up with the game winning goal in Game 5 and then got the Devils well on their way tonight.
