Potential Non-Import Starting Positions
4 offensive linemen, 2 receivers, 1 defensive lineman, and free safety

Key Canadian Arrivals
Rookie OL Carson Rockhill was acquired in a trade with Hamilton, while OL/LS Alex Krausnick-Groh and DL Eddie Steele were signed as free agents.

Key Canadian Departures
Veterans RB Jerome Messam, OL Greg Wojt, and DL Jermaine Reid, as well as young K/P Brody McKnight, were all traded over the winter. OL Dylan Steenbergen was not re-signed.

In The Pipeline
OL Austin Pasztor was reportedly about to sign with Edmonton last season when the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars called.

Draft Needs
Overall, the Esks have ample depth but should aim to exchange some of their quantity for quality. Look for a “best available” approach, with an eye towards becoming a more physical football team.

2013 Draft Selections
10th, 24th, 26th, 31st, 51st, 55th

Early Round Picks (2008-2012)
2008: OL Greg Wojt (11th)
2009: OL Gord Hinse (11th), DL Dee Stirling (12th)
2010: DL Brian Bulcke (6th), DB Saleem Borhot (12th)
2011: OL Scott Mitchell (2nd), WR Nate Coehoorn (5th), DB Hugo Lopez (14th)
2012: OL Austin Pasztor (4th), WR Shamawd Chambers (6th), DL Ted Laurent (2nd Round '11 Supplemental Draft), DL Justin Capicciotti (14th)

Best Late Round Pick (2008-2012)
Local product Corbin Sharun has developed into a special teams stalwart since being drafted in the sixth round (43rd overall) in 2010.

Quirky Draft Fact
Since 2007, between trades (Noel Prefontaine, Grant Shaw, Brody McKnight) and actual draft selections (Warren Kean), the Eskimos have spent three first round picks...and “part of” Ricky Ray...to fill their kicking positions. Yet, over that same time frame, the only Eskimo kicker to connect on over 80% of his field goal attempts is Derek Schiavone...who was undrafted in 2008. Schiavone hit 39 of 45 (86.7%) field goal tries from 2008 to 2011.
