There is a new number one at the top of the TSN.ca NFL Power Rankings. The Denver Broncos, for the first time all season, have climbed into top spot, on the strength of a 10-game winning streak.

The Broncos vault past the New England Patriots, who remain in second spot, and the former No. 1 San Francisco 49ers who dropped to fourth.

San Francisco's demise was a result of getting blown out by the streaking Seattle Seahawks, who have soared into third spot in the rankings after scoring 150 points in the last three weeks.

Baltimore clinched the AFC north title with their 33-14 win over the New York Giants last week, the decisive win (along with healthy WR Torrey Smith) good enough to move from 16 back to 10.

Also climbing, though further down, the St. Louis Rams moved from 22 to 19 with their fourth win in the last five games.

Heading the wrong way, the Houston Texans fell from three to seven after losing 23-6 at home to Minnesota and the sinking Oakland Raiders fell from 24 to 29 with news that QB Carson Palmer will be out for Week 17 with a rib/lung injury.
