DUNEDIN, Florida - R.A. Dickey is starting opening day, April 2 vs. Cleveland at the Rogers Centre. Who will be catching the knuckleballer remains unclear and manager John Gibbons says he isn't compelled to put J.P. Arencibia in the lineup just because it's the first game.

"No. I mean, it is a big day and an exciting day," said Gibbons. "But if we're better off with one of the other guys catching, then he'll catch Dickey. We've got to think about Dickey right there."

Henry Blanco, a New York Met in 2010, caught Dickey in seven games that season. Josh Thole, acquired from the Mets in the Dickey trade, caught Dickey in 66 games in New York.

Round 1 continues with the Blue Jackets' Marian Gaborik taking on Magnus Paajarvi of the Oilers.
