TORONTO - Lefthander Sean Nolin, who will make his major league debut Friday night against the Orioles, formally had his contract selected from Double-A New Hampshire.

To make room for Nolin on the active roster, reliever Darren Oliver has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 19, with a left shoulder strain.

Meantime, pitcher J.A. Happ has been transferred to the 60-day disabled list. Happ was injured on May 7 in Tampa Bay when he was struck on the side of the head by a line drive.

Happ suffered a skull fracture behind his left ear and a cut that required eight stitches. His right knee was injured when he fell to the ground. The Blue Jays say an MRI revealed a sprain.

Nolin, 23, is 2-0 with a 1.17 ERA in three starts for the Fisher Cats this season.

Oliver, 42, is 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA in 14 appearances out of the bullpen. He hasn't allowed more than one run in any of outings.

Happ, 30, is 2-2 with a 4.91 ERA in seven starts for the Blue Jays this season.
