TORONTO - The Blue Jays welcome back two important bodies in time for the third game of their four-game set with the Tigers.

Adam Lind, who's missed two games with tightness in his back, will bat third as the designated hitter.

J.P. Arencibia, who suffered a minor shoulder injury in a collision at home plate with Boston's Shane Victorino on Saturday, will catch for the first time since Sunday.

The news isn't all good, however, as Edwin Encarnacion will miss a third consecutive game with a sore left hamstring. The Blue Jays are hopeful Encarnacion will be able to play in Thursday's series finale against Detroit.

Lind, 29, is enjoying a resurgent season. He's hitting .327 with an OPS of .934.

Arencibia, 27, leads all major league catchers with 15 home runs and his 38 RBI rank him seventh among players at his position. Arencibia has struggled to get on base. His .247 on base percentage is second worst among all players with enough plate appearances to qualify.

Encarnacion, 30, is having an All Star-caliber season. His slash line is .270/.350/.537 and Encarnacion's 23 home runs and 66 RBI lead the Blue Jays.

Wednesday's lineup:

Reyes SS
Bautista RF
Lind DH
Rasmus CF
Davis LF
Izturis 3B
DeRosa 1B
Arencibia C
Bonifacio 2B
