Blue Bombers name QB Nichols starter
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are making a switch at quarterback. Matt Nichols, who backed up Drew Willy for the first five games of the season, will start at quarterback for the Bombers' Week 6 game against the Edmonton Eskimos as the CFL's quarterback carousel continues.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are making a switch at quarterback.
Matt Nichols, who backed up Drew Willy for the first five games of the season, was named starter at quarterback for the Bombers' Week 6 game against the Edmonton Eskimos Thursday.
TSN's Gary Lawless reported the move was expected earlier Sunday.
Nichols is 10-16 for 91 yards and a touchdown in relief appearances this year in Winnipeg. Willy started the year 137-191 for 1,473 yards and five touchdowns to four interceptions.
