The Columbus Blue Jackets are headed home facing a 2-0 deficit in their best-of-seven series with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Blue Jackets have been outscored 7-2 through two games despite outshooting the Penguins 72-58.

Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky posted .931 save percentage while emerging as a potential Hart Trophy candidate during the regular season, however, Bobrovsky's save percentage through two playoff games sits .900. The Blue Jackets fell behind 1-0 in Game 2 on Friday when Bobrovsky turned the puck over behind the net to Connor Sheary, who passed to Jake Guentzel, who fed Sidney Crosby for an easy goal on a vacant net.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” Bobrovsky said of his first-period blunder, per the Columbus Dispatch. “It’s a mistake and I take that (one).”

The 28-year-old accepted his part of the blame for the team's two losses and said any time a team falls, the goaltender has a role.

“This is definitely a tough game to lose,” Bobrovsky said. “The series is going on, so we have to stay together, regroup and go to work. I could be better obviously in these two games.

"If you lose two games, the goalie can be better. But the series goes on. I’ll keep working.”

Captain Nick Foligno said after Friday's loss the team simply needs some puck luck to turn the series around.

“(Pucks) are bouncing every which way but in our net,” Foligno said. “As soon as they start bouncing our way, look out.”

Game 3 will take place Sunday in Columbus.
