Blue Jays recall Kawasaki; place Tolleson on DL
Munenori Kawasaki is set to rejoin the Toronto Blue Jays. According to TSN's Scott MacArthur, the Blue Jays will recall the 33-year-old infielder ahead of Sunday's series finale against the Minnesota Twins. To make room for Kawasaki, the Jays will place Steve Tolleson on the 15-day disabled list with a groin strain.

According to TSN's Scott MacArthur, the Blue Jays will recall the 33-year-old infielder ahead of Sunday's series finale against the Minnesota Twins.
To make room for Kawasaki, the Jays will place Steve Tolleson on the 15-day disabled list with a groin strain. The second baseman has appeared in 19 games with Toronto this season, batting .268 with three RBI in 41 plate appearances.
Kawasaki, optioned to Triple-A Buffalo five days ago, has appeared in three games with the Blue Jays this season.
