The Winnipeg Blue Bombers locked up head coach Mike O'Shea and also added three more years to the end of GM Kyle Walters' contract.

The Blue Bombers announced both O'Shea and Walters signed three-year contract extensions tying O'Shea to the team through the 2019 season and Walters through 2020.

O'Shea's contract was set to expire this off-season.

“Since we began this journey together three seasons ago, we have maintained that stability and continuity in the organization are paramount,” Blue Bombers President and CEO Wade Miller said in a team release. “Although we have yet to reach our ultimate goal, both of these men are extremely critical to the foundation of Blue Bomber football, and we are thrilled to have them continuing to build a sustaining, winning football operations department for years to come.”

O'Shea and Walters led the Blue Bombers to their best season since 2003 last year, finishing third in the West Division with an 11-7 record.
