ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. - Nikolas Brouillard scored the go-ahead goal at 18:51 of the third period as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies opened the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League final with a 4-2 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes on Wednesday.

Anthony-John Greer, Philippe Myers and Gabrielle Fontaine, into an empty net, also scored for the top-ranked Huskies, who lead the best-of-seven President Cup final 1-0.

Samuel Girard and Gabriel Gagne found the back of the net for the No. 2 Cataractes, who led 2-1 early in the third before Rouyn-Noranda scored three unanswered goals.

Chase Marchand made 28 saves for the Huskies as Shawinigan's Philippe Cadorette stopped 20-of-23 shots in defeat.

Rouyn-Noranda went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Cataractes scored twice on three chances with the man advantage.

Game 2 goes Friday in Rouyn-Noranda, with Games 3 and 4 returning to Shawinigan on Sunday and Monday.
