Johnny Manziel took another step in the right direction in his commitment to football this off-season, earning the praise of veteran teammate Joe Thomas Tuesday.

"To see the guy that's in the building right now is night and day from where he was last year in his commitment," Cleveland Browns left tackle and Manziel teammate Joe Thomas told NFL Network on Tuesday. "He has a bright future ahead of him."

The eight-time Pro Bowler earlier this off-season said Manziel would have to win back the trust of his teammates. It appears after a 10-week stay in rehab, last year’s first-round pick is at least on his way towards doing so.

"Last year, on a Saturday, you might see a picture of him on Instagram floating in a swan, drinking champagne," Thomas told NFL Network. "This year, on a Saturday, if you came in the building, you'd see him studying his playbook and watching film with his coach.

We could soon see whether the Browns front office and coaching staff is also buying into the new Manziel if they pass on a quarterback in this weekend’s NFL Draft.
