MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Bucks rookie forward Jabari Parker had surgery on his left knee, an injury expected to sideline him for the rest of the season.

Bucks general manager John Hammond said Monday night that Parker had surgery in New York to repair the torn anterior cruciate ligament. There is no timeline for a return to basketball activity.

The No. 2 pick in last year's draft was averaging 12.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in 25 games before getting hurt on Dec. 15 at Phoenix.

Also, Bucks coach Jason Kidd — talking on WTMJ radio in Milwaukee — said centre Larry Sanders might return in a couple days, if not for Tuesday's home game against Phoenix. Sanders has missed six games because of the flu and what the team called personal issues.
