BURNLEY, England — Burnley beat Everton 2-1 thanks to a 90th-minute winner in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Scott Arfield drilled in a rebound off the crossbar by Johann Berg Gudmundsson for Burnley's third win, all at its Turf Moor home.

Everton was on a four-match winless run in the league, having not won in more than a month, but was still within touching distance of the leaders.

Burnley scored the only goal of the first half when Everton goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg - who denied Manchester City two penalties last weekend - parried a shot straight to Sam Vokes.

Yannick Bolasie, the standout player, equalized with his first goal for Everton.
