TORONTO - Coach Kieran Crowley has made nine changes to his lineup for Canada's penultimate Rugby World Cup warmup against Georgia on Wednesday in the London suburb of Esher.

The Canadian men are coming off a 19-12 win over the Glasgow Warriors in Halifax on Saturday, a day before they left for England.

Georgia is ranked 13th in the world, compared to No. 18 for Canada. But Wednesday's contest is not considered an official test match by World Rugby, the sport's governing body.

Canada plays its final warmup Sunday against ninth-ranked Fiji at the Twickenham Stoop. It opens the tournament Sept. 19 against No. 2 Ireland in Cardiff before taking on No. 15 Italy, No. 7 France and No. 17 Romania in other Group D matches.

With captain Tyler Ardron still nursing a knee injury, lock forward Jamie Cudmore continues as Canadian skipper against the Georgians.

Prop Doug Wooldridge and hooker Ray Barkwill come into the front row alongside holdover prop Djustice Sears-Duru.

Brett Beukeboom joins Cudmore in the second row ahead of an all-new back row of John Moonlight, Aaron Carpenter and Jebb Sinclair.

It's the first start of the summer for Sinclair, a London Irish veteran who came on as a second-half replacement Saturday, after missing the Pacific Nations Cup with a knee injury.

Jamie Mackenzie replaces Phil Mack at scrum-half while Nathan Hirayama retains his place at fly-half.

Phil Mackenzie, Jamie's brother, joins Jeff Hassler on the wing. Nick Blevins replaces Connor Braid at centre alongside holdover Ciaran Hearn. Matt Evans is retained at fullback.

A fit and physical Blevins, who has been bulldozing opponents, has been one of the revelations of the Canadian World Cup buildup, with three tries in his last three test matches.

The Georgia World Cup squad includes two players — Merab Kvirikashvili and Giorgi Chkhaidze — set to participate in their fourth Rugby World Cup. Cudmore is also slated to appear in his fourth tournament.

Teenage Georgia scrum half Vasil Lobzhanidze is set to become the youngest player in Rugby World Cup history. Lobzhanidze, who turns 19 during the tournament, could become the first 18-year-old to take part in rugby's showcase.

Georgia will play in Group C, alongside New Zealand, Argentina, Tonga and Namibia.

The Canadians have history with Georgia. The two teams were involved in a brawl in a 2013 test match in Tbilisi after Georgian flanker Vito Kolelishvili clotheslined Canadian fly half Liam Underwood.

Ardron confronted the Georgian and the brawl began, with several Canadians engulfed in packs of Georgia players. Kolelishvili and Ardron were both red-carded when peace was restored. At least one Canadian was bloodied.

Georgia won that game 19-15.
