Canadian international defender Doneil Henry could be on his way to Premier League side West Ham United if he can acquire a work permit.

Henry will have a work permit hearing on Monday and if his application is successful, he will sign with the Hammers.

The Brampton, Ontario native has appeared with the Canadian national soccer team 14 times since making his senior debut in 2012.

Henry has twice had training spells at West Ham in the past year.

The 21-year-old spent parts of five seasons with Toronto FC since making a very brief debut in 2010.

He was sold to Cyprus club Apollon Limassol in 2014 but remained with Toronto FC on loan for the entire season.
