For the first time since 1968, there are three Canadians in the field at the Masters. Adam Hadwin, Mackenzie Hughes and 2003 winner Mike Weir will all play for a Green Jacket this week.

The trio played a practice round together on Tuesday.

Hughes and Weir played a few holes together on Monday before storms chased the golfers from the course. Hadwin, who played 18 on Sunday and another nine on Monday before getting wet, said he was looking forward to playing with Weir but didn’t want to wear him out with questions ahead of time.

The threesome was rounded out by four-time major winner Ernie Els, who may not have a Green Jacket but does have a couple of runner-up finishes and a lot of experience which he can share.

Both Hadwin and Hughes have stated that Weir has been an inspiration to their careers and the opportunity to play with him in this tournament, at this course, is like a dream come true. Of course, they’d like nothing more than to join him as Canadians with a Green Jacket.
