With the second round of the playoffs nearing an end, several players have been added to their respective national teams for the World Hockey Championship in Germany.
Vancouver Canucks' speedster Mason Raymond will join Team Canada for the upcoming qualification round, as will Edmonton Oilers' goaltender Devan Dubnyk.
Evgeni Malkin and Sergei Gonchar of the Pittsburgh Penguins have been added to the roster of Team Russia.
"It's my national team and they called me. If my team needs me and I can go, I'm not going to say no," Malkin told The CANADIAN PRESS Friday in Pittsburgh.
"I was disappointed with this season. I wasn't satisfied," Gonchar told The CANADIAN PRESS. "And I've never won a world championship."
Also, Mikael Backlund of the Calgary Flames and Christian Ehrhoff of the Vancouver Canucks have been added to the Swedish roster.
