LEDUC, Alta. -- Nick Glackin scored at 8:45 of double overtime and the Red Deer Rebels rallied for a 6-5 victory over the Phenix du College Esther-Blondin in the Telus Cup final on Sunday.

The game-winner completed a natural hat trick for Glackin, who scored back-to-back goals just over a minute apart midway through the third period to help the Rebels force overtime in the midget men's hockey tournament.

Red Deer was down 5-1 after two periods but scored four power-play goals in the third to mount its comeback.

Scott Feser scored the other two third-period goals for the Rebels, while Brady Bakke scored shorthanded early in the second.

The Phenix were up 3-0 after the first period on a pair of goals by Vincent Deslauriers while Frederik Gauthier scored at 19:40 while on the power play.

Bakke cut into the lead 43 seconds into the second, but David Bergeron and Laurent Dauphin added power-play goals for College Esther-Blondin to make it 5-1 after two.

In the bronze medal match-up, Branden Scheidl scored the winning goal midway through the third period as the Saskatoon Contacts edged the Leduc Oil Kings 3-2.

Dawson Leedahl and Carson Stadnyk also scored for the Contacts while Vukie Mpofu chipped in with two assists.

Despite not recording a single point against Leduc, Rourke Chartier finished the tournament as Saskatoon's leading scorer with seven goals and 10 points in six contests.

Hayden Dawes and Doug Morris each had a goal for the Oil Kings, who finished the tournament with four straight losses after opening with two victories.

Mack Shields stopped 31 shots for the win while Brett Zarowny turned away 44 shots in defeat.

Zarowny's effort in net earned him Leduc's player of the game honours while Scheidl picked up the same award for his club with his winning goal.

Saskatoon went 1 for 3 on the power play as Leduc scored once on two chances with the extra man.
