Bozzo leads Young Nationals past Generals at Telus Cup

Marco Bozzo had a hat trick to lead the Toronto Young Nationals past the Moose Jaw Generals 4-2 on Wednesday at the Telus Cup.

Jeremy Pullara also scored as Toronto improved to 1-1-0 at the Canadian men's midget hockey championship. Izzy Benigno made 24 saves in net for the Young Nationals.

Dawson Davidson scored both goals for Moose Jaw (0-0-2), while Grant Naherniak stopped 20 shots.

Toronto went 4 for 6 on the power play, while the Generals went 0 for 3.



The Okanagan Rockets and Prince Albert Mintos settled for a 1-1 draw in their preliminary round game.

Keegan Kjargaard gave Prince Albert (1-0-1) a 1-0 lead in the first minute of the third period, then Gen Bryshun tied it for Okanagan (0-0-2) just over 12 minutes later.

Brendan Barry made 23 saves for the Rockets, while Connor Ingram stopped 31 for the Mintos.
