Notes: Despite Winnipeg's struggles, Hefney was still productive last season and was named an East Division All-Star for his efforts. Before that, he was a key member of the Bombers' vaunted Swaggerville defence.
 
Chad Kackert

Notes: After taking over for Cory Boyd midway through the season, Kackert proved he was a capable back in the CFL. His stock went up after a strong postseason capped by being named Grey Cup MVP.

Notes: Willis lost his 'Mayor' moniker in Saskatchewan and saw his sack total drop to six last season, but he remains a proven pass rusher and vocal leader. In a pass-first league, it's imperative defences can pressure QBs.

Notes: Not many teams are in need of a rusher this off-season but, if healthy, Whitaker should find a home. He missed the final two months of last season but before had demonstrated he's an all-star back in the CFL.
