Defensive end Marcus Howard has agreed to terms to remain in Edmonton. - TSN

The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club has released non-import wide receiver Glenn MacKay. - Team Release

Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that non-import linebacker Karl McCartney has signed a contract extension. As per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed. - Team Release

Jan 15, 6:19 PM - Hamilton

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that Marwan Hage has agreed to a new contract that will see the veteran offensive lineman remain in Hamilton through the 2015 season.

The Ticats also announced that import quarterback Quinton Porter has been released. - Team Release

Non-import linebacker Mike McCullough and non-import fullback Neal Hughes were re-signed on Tuesday.

Jan 12, 5:53 PM - Montreal

Alouettes defensive tackle J.P. Bekasiak announced his retirement on Friday after six seasons in the Canadian Football League, including the last four with Montreal. - Team Release

Jan 11, 12:19 PM - Winnipeg

The Blue Bombers have re-signed all- star import defensive back Jonathan Hefney, a month before he was slated to become a free agent. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Hefney played in all 18 games with the Blue Bombers last season primarily at halfback but also filled in at SAM linebacker when injuries piled up. Apart from a brief stint with the NFL’s Detroit Lions in 2010, Hefney has never missed a game with Winnipeg since signing with the team in 2009. - Team Release

The Cleveland Browns (NFL) have reportedly signed Lions' linebacker Solomon Elimimian to a reserve/future contract. However, the Lions deny the report, saying Elimimian can't sign elsewhere until his current CFL contract expires on February 15. - TSN
