SB Nik Lewis is unlikely to play in Sunday's West Final against Saskatchewan.
"I think I'm about 80-85%. My ankle's a lot stronger than it should be right now, but it's still not where I want it," Lewis told the Calgary Sun.

There is perhaps no Calgary Stampeder more impatient to get onto the field in the Western Final on Sunday than Joe West. In his second season with the CFL club and having gone through a hellish year with shoulder problems, he couldn't have picked a more opportune time to be healthy. West suffered a shoulder injury which kept him out of nine games; upon his return to action, he re-injured his wing and is now coming back for a second time. He, among others, profited hugely from the bye week.
They say that playoffs are a new season and for Brad Sinopoli, who missed the final two regular season games with a concussion, that is no cliché. "I'm feeling great," the 25-year-old receiver summed up. "No problems now so it's behind me."
Dimitri Tsoumpas was on the field on Tuesday, wearing a helmet and going through some light hitting, which has to be a welcome sign for the team. He has been on the injured list since Week 7. Fellow offensive lineman Stanley Bryant, who has missed the last two games with a leg injury, was also back on the field. - Calgary Herald

With DLs Micah Johnson and Demonte' Bolden out for the West Final, head coach John Hufnagel has not made a decision on who will be replacing them. He said he will make his decision based on how the possible replacements perform in practice. The competition in practice continues even with the regular season over with the replacement candidates being Oren Wilson, Earl Okine and Etienne Legare.
SB Nik Lewis (leg) is not giving up hope that he will be ready to go for the West Final. Lewis is hoping that he can practice with the team a couple of days next week. When Hufnagel was asked about Lewis, he said from what he's been told "it's not possible."
Receivers that were on the practice field; Joe West (shoulder) and Brad Sinopoli (head). Both are expected to be available for the West Final.

With Nik Lewis' tenure on the nine-game injured list up, GM/head coach John Hufnagel will have to decide Friday whether to put the slotback on the nine-game list, which would without a doubt end his season, or go the one-game route and leave the door open for a miraculous return from the broken left leg and torn ankle ligaments he suffered on Aug. 17. Lewis has hinted about the possibility of a return, but Hufnagel isn't sure it's a realistic possibility. - Calgary Sun
