Dixon returns to the team after having been released on June 2 as a result of failing his pre-camp physical. The rehab process on the knee injury that forced him to miss the entire 2012 season has since progressed to the point he can resume football activities. Jarboe is a former second-team All-Sun Belt Conference all-star at Arkansas State who recently attended the mini-camp of the National Football League’s Washington Redskins. - Team Release

Just when it looked like Chris Bauman was about to carve out a bigger role within the Calgary Stampeders offence, the Manitoba product showed up Thursday sporting a cast on his left wrist. Originally deemed a sprain the day before, Bauman is now sidelined indefinitely, and the slotback will join wideout Johnny Forzani on the sidelines for the foreseeable future. Stampeders GM/head coach John Hufnagel estimated Bauman's absence could exceed the four-to-six-week timetable. "Unfortunately, Chris broke a small bone in his wrist, so Chris will be in plaster for a while," Hufnagel said. - Calgary Sun
