The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced Monday that they have extended the contract of non-import wide-receiver Arjei Franklin.
The deal will keep Franklin with the Bombers through the 2009 season.
"Arjei has emerged into a real threat for our football team and we are very pleased to have him continue to be part of our franchise," explained general manager Brendan Taman.
A product of the University of Windsor, Franklin was drafted in the 3rd Round, 19th overall by the Bombers in the 2006 Canadian college draft.
Last season Franklin played in only 10 games due to injury but managed to grab 36 passes for 452 yards.
