Although the club won't confirm or deny, it appears the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed veteran offensive lineman Luke Fritz.

The Montreal Gazette is reporting that the Alouttes free agent inked a two-year deal, plus an option, with the blue and gold and the team is expected to announce the signing in the coming days.

"I'm excited to get to Winnipeg and at least get a legitimate shot to play and make a difference," Fritz told the Gazette. "My time in Montreal was good at times and bad at times. We always had successful teams, but a lot (of things) changed."

Fritz is a seventh overall selection by the Alouetes in the 2001 Canadian college draft.
