The Toronto Argonauts announced Tuesday that veteran long snapper Randy Srochenski has re-signed with the club after retiring from the CFL following the 2008 season.
He will dress for Wednesday's CFL Canada Day season opener at Ivor Wynne Stadium.
Known to teammates simply as 'Scorch,' the 15-year CFL veteran will begin his eighth year with the Argos this week. He has started all 18 regular season games at long snapper for the past three seasons and is considered one of the best long snappers in the business.
Srochenski has started in several playoff games and has one Grey Cup championship (2004). A minister by trade, he was lured out of retirement by the Argos for the first time during 2008 training camp.
