After a Week 1 loss to the Toronto Argonauts, the Hamilton Ticats have made a roster move.
The club announced on Saturday that they signed import linebacker Jamall Johnson.
Johnson, who captured a Grey Cup with the B.C. Lions in 2006 is a four-year veteran of the CFL.
"Jamall is a seasoned veteran who has demonstrated the ability to be a great player in this league," general manager Bob O'Billovich said in a statement. "His addition will improve our defence, our special teams unit and the overall speed of our team."
The 6'1", 222-pound native of Norco, Louisiana recorded 66 defensive tackles, 56 special teams tackles, seven quarterback sacks and two interceptions in 42 career CFL games.
To make room on their roster, the Ticats released import linebacker Cameron Siskowic.
