Long-time TSN producer Paul 'Mac' McLean will be inducted posthumously into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame's Football Reporters wing on Grey Cup Sunday, Nov. 29 in honour of his contributions to the CFL through his outstanding work at TSN.

McLean was selected by the Football Reporters of Canada, who are responsible for selecting inductees for the Canadian Football Hall of Fame Football Reporters wing each year.

The only other members of the TSN family to be recognized by the Hall of Fame are TSN's founder Gordon Craig and broadcaster John Wells.

Over his 18 years with TSN, the popular McLean was the driving force behind the creation of TSN's Friday Night Football, and helped to rejuvenate the CFL and increase its popularity among fans all across the country.

''It is wonderful to see Mac recognized by his peers in this way,'' said Paul Graham, Executive Producer of Live Events for TSN. ''Mac had a tremendous amount of passion and respect for Canadian football. His vision and enthusiasm pushed all of us associated with Canadian football to be better broadcasters. Ultimately his work helped to revitalize the league at time when it needed it the most.''

In addition to football, McLean guided TSN's coverage of other high-profile properties including major curling events and the IIHF World Junior Championship, each of which were widely regarded as some of the best in Canadian television.  During his career McLean was honoured with five Gemini nominations for his exceptional work.

McLean passed away in 2005 after his courageous battle with cancer. He was 39 years old.
