BC Lions defensive end Ricky Foley, who is scheduled to become a CFL free agent on February 15, has agreed to terms with the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL.

The 6'2, 245-pound native of Courtice, Ontario led the CFL in sacks last season with 12, also recording 51 defensive tackles for the Lions.

Foley, who was a standout on York University's football team, was selected fourth overall by the Lions in the first round of the 2006 CFL Draft.

The 27-year-old won the Most Outstanding Canadian award in 2009.

Foley is the second CFL product to sign with the Seahawks as of late. The team also recently agreed to terms with Blue Bombers defensive lineman and long snapper Pat MacDonald.
