The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced Wednesday that they have released import receiver Adarius Bowman.
"We thank Adarius for his contributions to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers over the past year and a half, and wish him the best moving forward," said Vice-President and General Manager of Football Operations Joe Mack in a statement released by the team.
Bowman remains the Bombers second leading receiver despite not having played in almost a month after being relegated to the bench. The Chattanooga, Tennessee native has 50 receptions for 691 yards and three touchdowns this season, but has been plagued by dropped passes. Winnipeg has reportedly been shopping the receiver on the trade market but found no takers. He led the Blue Bombers last season with 925 receiving yards and six TDs.
