The Hamilton Tiger-Cat have received permission from Buffalo to talk to Bills quarterback coach, George Cortez.

Cortez was offensive coordinator in Calgary up to 2009 where he worked with Henry Burris, the Ticats' recently-acquired quarterback.

However, there's some doubt Cortez wants to be a CFL head coach. In 2009, he withdrew his name from consideration for the Toronto job that eventually went to Jim Barker, opting for the Bills job instead.

Sources say Cortez has said he is not interested in leaving the NFL.

However, after another disappointing season in Buffalo, it's possible the Bills could make changes to their coaching staff.
