Former BC Lions wide receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux has turned down a Minnesota Vikings practice squad offer to join the Washington Redskins' practice squad, ESPN is reporting.

Arceneaux was among 20 players cut loose by the Vikings Friday as the team announced its current 53-man roster for the upcoming season.

The 24-year-old Arceneaux signed with the Vikings in January 2011 and spent most of last season on the team's practice squad, catching one pass for 10 yards in three games.

Also on Saturday, former Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian joined the Cleveland Browns' practice roster.

Elimimian, cut by the Vikings a week ago, spent two seasons with the Lions before signing a two-year deal with the Vikings following the 2011 campaign. The 25-year-old was named the CFL's top rookie in 2010 before posting 98 tackles with the Lions in 2011.
