Roughriders sign WR Johnson ahead of Western Semi-Final

REGINA - The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed import receiver Kierrie Johnson on Saturday.

The deal was announced as the Riders prepared to take on the Stampeders in Calgary in Sunday's CFL West division semifinal.

The 24-year-old Houston native had 34 receptions for 514 yards and one touchdown in 14 games with the B.C. Lions over the last two seasons.

Johnson played three seasons for the Houston Cougars during his collegiate career, finishing with 85 receptions for 1,308 yards and 12 touchdowns.
